Accountant – £60,000

Salary: £60,000 per annum

About the Role

A highly skilled Accountant is required to join a growing organisation in South West London. This role will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK accounting standards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and corporation tax filings
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
• Support with payroll processing and pension contributions

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with proven experience in financial management
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with UK GAAP & IFRS
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Experience in cash flow management, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
